About

The Providence College Basketball Camps presented by Keno Davis will be held on the Providence College Campus. The camp is committed to the development of fundamental skills. Campers learn ball handling, triple threat, post moves, rebounding, court spacing, passing, defensive keys, team offense and defense from Coach Davis and his trained, experienced staff.

The camp consists of lectures, basketball learning stations, games, various basketball contests and fun! Day campers can either bring their own lunch or bring money to purchase lunch. Overnight campers and high school teams attending our team camp will be provided with breakfast, lunch and dinner and will also use the pool in Peterson Recreation Center! In addition, all campers will have the opportunity to interact with PC basketball players!

Providence College Head Coach Keno Davis directs all camp programs and activities. The camp teaches fundamental basketball skills, sportsmanship and team concepts. The basic drills remain the same for all skill levels. Most of the drills and teaching techniques used at The Providence College Boys Basketball Camp Presented by Keno Davis are the same ones used by the PC Friars. Players with more abilities are given higher-level drills and ball handling moves to practice and work on. The camps are great preparation for the next level of competition.

    PC Campus

All Keno Davis camps will be held on the Providence College campus in the following buildings:

    Campus Map/Virtual Tour

    Peterson Recreation Center

Opened in 1981 during the presidency of Very Rev. Thomas R. Peterson, O.P., and named in his honor, the Peterson Recreation Center is the hub of intramural athletic and recreational activity at Providence College. It includes the Begley Field House, the Cuddy Racquetball Complex, and the Taylor Natatorium.

Named for Rev. Aloysius B. Begley, O.P., longtime athletics director, the Begley Field House accommodates basketball, volleyball, tennis, indoor soccer, and other uses with five multi-purpose courts within a perimeter 200-meter running track. The all-purpose floor, with its moving walls and screens, makes the building adaptable for the College's intramural programs, indoor practices and winter workouts.

The Cuddy Racquetball Complex, named for James V. Cuddy, who preceded Joe Mullaney as men's basketball coach and continued for many years as an administrator in the athletics department, consists of three courts with observation windows and a dance studio for academic dance classes and recreational aerobics classes.
Taylor Natatorium, a 25-meter indoor pool with adjacent outdoor patio, was named for Rev. Joseph B. Taylor, O.P., who served for many years as Fr. Begley's associate.

    Alumni Hall

Alumni Hall, which opened in 1955, was designed to provide a home court for the PC men's basketball team and to serve other emerging athletic programs, to accommodate non-resident students in cafeteria-style seating, and to centralize facilities of the Military Science Department/ROTC.   Alumni Hall houses the Department of Athletics' administrative offices for the College's 19 NCAA Division I teams.

Also located in Alumni Hall are a Cardio/Nautilus Equipment Room containing exercise bikes, Stairmasters, treadmills, and elliptical machines, as well as a second weight room providing free weights and plate loaded and selectorized weight equipment, and the Providence College Athletic Hall of Fame.

The building's gymnasium, with a seating capacity of just over 2,600, served as the men's basketball home court until 1972 when the action moved to downtown Providence. Known today as Joseph A. Mullaney Gymnasium, to honor the Friars' legendary men's basketball coach, it has been the home court for the Lady Friars basketball team since 1974.
