Keith Kelly, a 2001 graduate of Providence College, will begin his first season as a graduate assistant on the Providence College staff.

During the 2004-05 academic year, Kelly served as a graduate assistant at the Athletic Academic Services Office. He is currently working on attaining a masters in business administration.

A native of Drogheda, Ireland, Kelly enjoyed a wealth of success during his career as an athlete at Providence. He captured the 2000 NCAA Cross Country individual championship in Ames, Iowa, thus becoming the first Providence College athlete to win an NCAA Cross Country crown. That year, the Friars finished third overall.

A five-time All-American, Kelly was one of the most decorated PC runners. He won seven BIG EAST titles (cross country, distance medley relay, 3,000 meters, 5,000 meters and 10,000 meters). Kelly also captured two IC4A titles in the 10,000 meters.

Following graduation, Kelly continued his running career competing for his native Ireland in major international competitions.

Kelly resides in Providence, R.I.
