Scenes From Denmark
Women's basketball cruises to Denmark and explores Copenhagen.
Aug. 26, 2002
The Friars took an overnight cruise to Copenhagen, Denmark from Oslo, Norway. The Pearl of Scandinavia was the name of the ship.
One of the outdoor lounge areas on the deck of the ship. The ship had a total of 12 deck levels.
Some of the players get together at the front of the ship before it shoves off for Denmark.
Once on land, the Friars enjoyed the sights of Copenhagen, Denmark. Here is a shot of the Royal Palace.
A shot of the Royal Guards on the palace grounds (and a lady that somehow ended up in all of our photos).
The story of "The Little Mermaid" originated in Copenhagen. Here is a statue of the Little Mermaid near the waterfront.
The main pedestrian shopping street in Copenhagen.
Vera Gomes, our tour director Dave, Jen Brodeur and Matt Martell take in the sights on the deck of the cruise ship.
