Field Hockey Falls to Colgate

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The Providence College Friars lost to Colgate this afternoon, 1-0 in the season's last home game. Colgate's lone goal was by Becky Evans who scored at the 25:23 mark of the first half.

Providence controlled the game out shooting Colgate, 26-11. The Friars also racked up 15 corner opportunities while the Red Raiders managed only 5.

PC senior goalie Jamie Soteriades (Columbus, OH) made two saves and sophomore Andrea Weyl (Ridgefield, CT) made five saves. Colgate goalie Hillary Meyer made 17 saves.

Providence plays at Boston University on Tuesday in their last regular season game.
