First Annual Friar Field Hockey Golf Tournament - Registration Brochure

The Providence College field hockey program will host the First Annual Friar Field Hockey Golf Tournament on Saturday, April 26 at Cranston Country Club in Cranston, R.I. The Friars are reaching out to the community, alumni, friends and fans of Providence College field hockey to participate in this event. All proceeds from the First Annual Friar Field Hockey Golf Tournament will directly benefit and support the field hockey program.

The entry fee for the Friar Field Hockey Golf Tournament is $100 per person / $360 per foursome. The event includes 18 holes of golf at Cranston Country Club, golf cart, bagels and snacks at registration, beverages during your round of golf, raffle prizes, tournament gifts and awards. The day will conclude with a barbeque after the day of golfing. Registration for the tournament on the day of the event begins at 10:00 a.m. Golf will begin at 11:00 a.m.

The Providence College field hockey team has finished each of the last two seasons ranked in the NFHCA Division I National Coaches' Poll. The Friars also have advanced to the Championship Game of the BIG EAST Tournament in each of the last two campaigns. In 2007, Providence finished the year with a 14-8 overall record, including a 4-2 mark in the BIG EAST. The Friars earned three victories vs. ranked opponents on the year, including a 3-0 win over 10th-ranked Boston College and a 2-0 victory vs. 11th-ranked Louisville in the BIG EAST semifinal game.
