Feb. 15, 1998 Providence Women's Hockey Skates to 3-3 Tie with Colby CollegeLady Friars fire off 39 shots in ECAC actionTabb HonoredWATERVILLE, Maine -- PC's Katherine Cahill scored at the 15:26 mark in the third period to end the game in a 3-3 tie against Colby College in ECAC women's hockey action on Sunday, February 15th. Colby's Shannon Kennedy opened up the game with a goal at the 14:48 mark in the first period, but the Friars quickly retaliated with a goal from Tina Schairer at the 15:51 to even the score. In the second period, Courtney Kennedy netted a goal for Colby to put them ahead 2-1 at the 8:15 mark. Providence was able to knot the game again when Corinne Rosen scored at the 17:36 mark in the second period. Colby's Courtney Kennedy scored her second goal of the game in third period at the 10:06 mark to go ahead 3-2, but PC's goal from Cahill at the 15:26 mark ended the game in a tie. Colby goaltender Josie Chapman made 36 saves in the tie, while Providence goaltender Heather Wilcox made 20 stops in the tie. Colby is now 4-12-3 overall and 2-11-3 in the ECAC. Providence College is now 8-18-1 overall and 8-9-1 in the ECAC. The Friars return to action on Friday, February 20th against St. Lawrence at 2:30 p.m. Scoring Summary
