At Providence: As a Junior: Played in all 110 games for the Friars and tallied a team-high 127 blocks good for third all-time on the single season blocks list... She now has 322 for her career, which places her fifth all-time on the career blocks list...Was third on the team in kills with 340 including a career-high 27 on Sept. 12 against Holy Cross...Named to the Division I All-Independent Second Team. As a Sophomore: Recorded the third highest total in school history with 123 blocks in a single season... Registered double-figure kills in 20 matches including five matches with 22 or more kills... Tallied a career-high 24 kills three times against Howard, Quinnipiac, and Saint Peter's... Totaled a team-high 393 kills and was third on the team with 33 service aces... Tallied a career-high 11 blocks against NJIT on Oct. 21. As a Freshman: Had 160 kills including a pair of matches with double-digit totals...Recorded a season-high 13 digs against Saint Francis (N.Y.) on Oct. 2...Had a kill in each of the last 13 matches of the year.

At Bishop Loughlin HS: Played three seasons and was a two-year captain of the varsity volleyball team under the direction of Head Coach Angela Proce...Played four years of varsity basketball, varsity softball and varsity track and field...Competed at the volleyball club level as a member of the Tri-County Storm with coach Shober...A two-year softball captain and one-year basketball captain...Won the 2004 James Bonilla Award for exemplary Christian character and outstanding athletic performance as well as the Nugent Brothers Award...Earned volleyball MVP honors as well as softball MVP honors her senior season...A member of the National Honor Society, she earned high honors and was ranked second in her class.

Personal: Daughter of Roxann and Andrew Toney...Has and older brother, Jermaine, who attends York College, and a younger brother, Jamal...Born July 9, 1988...Plans to major in biology.

Coach's Comments: " `JT' is our most athletic player. Her hands and quick lateral movement make her the defensive middle that we need. She can hit the ball harder than anyone on the team off the slide. She will likely impress a lot of fans again this year."
