Friar Classic - Day 1 - Game 2 - Providence vs. Saint Francis

The Providence College volleyball team recorded a 3-0 victory over Saint Francis in game two of the Fourth Annual Friar Volleyball Classic. The Friars won the games by the scores of 30-20, 30-13, and 30-14. Junior Elizabeth Flynn (Bellerose, N.Y.) led all players with 14 kills. With the win, the Friars are now 6-4 on the season.

Junior Jeanette Toney (Brooklyn, N.Y.) contributed nine kills and five blocks. Senior co-captain Sarah Fleming (Saint Paul, Minn.) added eight kills, four digs and three blocks. Junior setter Sara Sheehan (West Chester, Pa.) recorded a match-high 33 assists.

The Friars will play Coppin State at 12:30 p.m. and Sacred Heart at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 15.
