Providence, R.I. - The Providence College volleyball team wrapped up the Fourth Annual Friar Volleyball Classic with a 3-0 sweep of Sacred Heart earning this year's championship trophy. Providence won the games by the scores of 30-16, 30-21, and 30-24. Tournament MVP Sarah Fleming (Saint Paul, Minn.) turned in another remarkable performance for the Friars with a match-high 18 kills. Juniors Elizabeth Flynn (Bellerose, N.Y.) and Jeanette Toney (Brooklyn. N.Y.) were in double-figure kills with 13 and 10, respectively. Junior setter Sara Sheehan (West Chester, Pa.) registered a match-high 49 assists giving her a total of 121 assists in the tournament and also garnered all-tournament honors. Freshman Mydori Saipale (Oxnard, Calif.) led the way for the Pioneers with 14 kills. Freshman Courtney Kidd-Kadlubek (Santa Barbara, Calif.) had 32 assists and eight digs.
