Welcome to the Home of Providence College Cheerleading!! The team can be seen at the Men's & Women's Basketball Games, Midnight Madness and various events on campus. The Cheerleaders compete at many local competitions and the NCA College National Cheerleading Championships in Daytona Beach, FL.

The Cheerleaders can be seen during Men's Basketball games at The Dunkin Donut Center in downtown Providence. Games are televised on both Local and National Television! Specific games can be seen on CBS and ESPN! The team also cheers at Women's Basketball Games located in Alumni Gym on campus.

Every year the cheerleaders perform a routine for "Midnight Madness". This event marks the beginning of the basketball season where the student body will be introduced to the Cheerleaders, Dance Team, Band, Women's Basketball Team and Men's Basketball Team.

 


Every year the team travels to New York City for the Big East Tournament which is held in Madison Square Garden. Over a span of four days the conferences best basketball teams go head to head for the conference championship. All games can be seen on ESPN and the cheerleaders also participate in the CBS Morning Show.

 


The Providence College Cheerleaders compete at many local competitions through-out the year, with our focus being on NCA College Nationals! Nationals are held in Daytona Beach, FL and are broadcast Nationally on CBS! Teams must qualify to compete at NCA College Nationals; the Providence College Cheerleaders have qualified the last three years and are looking to make their fourth straight appearance at Nationals!

The squad is made up of 20-25 athletes who dedicate lots of time and energy to PC Cheerleading. The team practices four times per week while attending games, fundraisers and various events on campus. Team members must have a competitive drive that must be maintained throughout the year. Team members are expected to perform in front of large crowds at games and competitions. All cheerleaders are expected to represent the team and the school in a traditional Collegiate manner. All this must be done while maintaining an excellent academic record. The primary focus of the team is Academics and for the past three years the team has maintained a Team GPA of over 3.00! Academic help will be provided to those team members who require it.

*Cheerleaders participate in Fundraising activities to help alleviate the cost of Nationals*
